A nature lover, Susan found pottery to be a wonderful place to play in the mud.  Believing that this was an art that could bring joy to many, she built CIY.  With the mentoring from talented local artists, help from friends and family the concept was brought to life in August 2024.

What's New Banner Test

The page's body would be here.  For the home page it would be the background video and the CIY introduction and workshop link.

The "what's New" banner would be above this.  I could be put into each page, but I'm thinking that maybe it would just be on the home page.

The banner displays each item for about 6 seconds and constantly rotates them.  The items shown are any blog post marked as "Featured".  When an item is in the past the featured flag can be removed so it no longer shows up in the what's new.

Additionally, an actual "What's New" page could be added to show all the items that marked as featured in a list on the page. 

About Us

CIY is a creative hub located in Ashburn, VA, where individuals can explore the world of pottery and specialty arts. The acronym stands for “Create It Yourself,” reflecting the studio’s mission to foster a collaborative environment for both beginners and seasoned artists.
